Eligibility & Rules
Eligibility-
Pass in Karnataka SSLC or Equivalent (SSC/X Std. etc,) with 35% marks in each Maths & Science, Karnataka candidate is one who studies for a minimum of 5 years in Karnataka from Std 1 to 10. Such students should produce 5 years study certificate attested by BEO in the given format.Non-Karnataka students are those who have not studied in Karnataka for a minimum of 5 years from 1 to 10. Such students should produce Eligibility Certificate from Secretary, Board of Technical of Examination (BTE), Bangalore by paying prescribed fees.For Automobile course candidate must complete years of age as on 1st of July.
Attendance-
Students should be regular and punctual throughout the course (for all semesters). Students should have at least 80% attendance in each subject separately. The percentage of attendance of each student shall be made known to his/her parents/guardian through the report which is sent after every month. Each student shall keep track of his/her attendance from time to time. If a student fails to put in the minimum required attendance even in a single subject, he/she will not be permitted to appear for the examinations conducted by B.T.E Bengaluru.
Sessional Requirement-
Students are advised to appear for the periodical CIE likely to be conducted at the end of 6, 10 and 14" week of each semester. The students also have to submit the assignments/activities prescribed in each subject and fulfill the sessional requirements as per regulations.
Discipline-
The institute gives prime importance to discipline. The students are required to note the following in particular. Regular attendance and punctuality shall be observed. Misconduct & disobedience of the orders of the Principal/HOD and staff shall be severely dealt with. Habitual absence or late coming, rude behavior with the fellow students etc. shall lead to expulsion or suspension. Chewing of Gutkhas & Smoking is prohibited and spitting on walls will be punished. Any form of RAGGING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED and punished as per rules including two years rigorous Imprisonment in jail.
